Maybelline One by One Volum' Express Mascara

This is my the best mascara I've found in a LONG time. I am a firm believer in Drugstore Mascara. Maybelline One by One Volum' Express is my absolute favourite. Its normally about $9 and goes on sale for $5 or less all the time.

People always ask me if I'm wearing false lashes because they give such great length and volume (if you know me then you understand that my tiny blonde lashes need all the help they can get!) I suggest buying one in waterproof and one non waterproof. Just make sure rainy days, and emotional days you are wearing the waterproof version!

You don't have to go breaking the bank on mascara, they are all made with the same ingredients pretty much. Buying a more inexpensive but just as efective mascara helps you save some cash for some of those pricier other cosmetics we all love to splurge on!

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter

Canada! These are on their way to your local drugstore beginning in December! I'm a canuck myself but got a sneak peek at the buttery beauties.

REVLON says these are supposed to make your lips feel instantly hydrated, and smoother with the coverage of a lipstick.

I can definitely tell a difference from a regular lipstick. It has great coverage as far as pigment goes but doesn't last as long as I'd hoped (but then again I wish everything could last through hurricanes so I set the standard high) It has the life span of a gloss, after a cup of coffee or eating you should re apply to keep the colour fresh, much like people do with a regular non coloured lip balm anyways. But I cannot get over how smoothly these go on! The colours are awesome I can't pick a favourite I always buy one natural and one fun one, but I think I'll splurge for a few more ($10.99 CAD) Plus, Emma Stone is the face of this product, how cute is she ?! Overall a great buy especially for the winter months when keeping your pucker supple, and vibrant is most important!

Review: SMASHBOX Photo Finish Luminizing

SMASHBOX claims this to be an Oil-free and Paraben-free Foundation Primer that leaves your skin with a healthy glow!

First thing I noticed was the bronze-y tone that it looks like in the tube. I was skeptical that it might be that same shade on my skin. It actually turns out to be a gorgeous gold highlight without looking too yellow-y or bronze. It is oil free and doesn’t leave you looking or feeling greasy. Its a concentrated formula and took about 4 pea-sized amounts to cover my entire face. I have naturally flush cheeks and it looks fabulous without any foundation on, it evened out my skin tone while still leaving me with my rosey cheeks. A little blush helps it look more natural if you aren’t putting foundation over it.

I applied my concealer and foundation overtop so I would be able to see its functionality with makeup on it too. It acts as a great highlight and definitely takes the dullness out of any skin that might need some extra umph!

My makeup stayed in place and I was glowing all day! (I know I should have taken a picture) I definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for their primer to give them a boost! Great for day or night and everyday wear. This is a great addition to my makeup kit!

* Also use it around your collarbone or bust for a highlighted look!

1oz. $38.00

URBAN DECAY Naked Palette

This palette is a must have for any makeup artist or junkie. The colours are neutral enough to do day looks, but hav a variety of shades (12) to play it up for night! Plus they are full sized shadows all in one spot, no fumbling with individual shadows. Just grab and go if you need to.I can not say it enough times. I love this palette. I wear lots of neutral colours an the combinations are endless. Also, when you buy it at Sephora it comes with a mini Primer Potion and their pro quality Good Karma Shadow Brush!

Some of the colours do seem to be made of mostly glitter, but they still blend fabulously (yes, thats a word)
*I wouldn't recommend this for someone older because the shimmer is hard to pull off past the age of thirty-five but if you like it, then go for it!

$48.00 at most Sephora Stores or online at www.urbandecay.com

The BIG Move

I’ve recently re-located to Esquimalt BC, near Victoria to be closer to my boyfriend who is in the Navy!

An exciting move and a bit of a shake up for my business. I’m still operational of course and ready to take on some amazing new clients here!

Birthday & Photoshoot

Today is my birthday! A woman never reveals her age, but I am not too old to enjoy it!

I had a photoshoot for a lookbook of Wanotrix’s Clothing Collection for Toronto Alternative Fashion Week! I got the pleasure of doing Make-up on the gorgeous Nicole S from NEXT Modelling Agency, and shooting with the wonderful Photographer Peter Balinski!

I wouldn’t have rather spent my birthday any other way! Some great shots to follow.
